With the goal of upgrading the quality of public education and improving learning at the secondary level of education, the Puntacana Foundation held the workshop “Planning and Innovative Strategies in Secondary Education”. The workshop targeted mid-level teachers from the education centers of the Verón – Punta Cana Touristic Municipal District.
Around 750 people from needy communities of La Altagracia province have benefited during a medical mission conducted by the Puntacana Foundation and the Virginia College Osteopathic Medicine (Vcom), who received general check-ups and free medication. The communities that benefited were Veron, Friusa-Bavaro, La Ceiba and San Rafael del Yuma, and

Rescatame is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to raising public awareness of the sufferings animals endure in the Punta Cana and its surrounding areas. Rescatame facilitates spay/neuter services to stray dogs, as well as feed and medicate homeless dogs living on streets and beaches throughout Punta Cana.
